Netherlands Develops Temperature-Controlled Pharmaceutical Packaging
Amsterdam, December 5, 2024 - Dutch packaging company Royal DSM announced the launch of a new type of passive temperature-controlled pharmaceutical packaging. The packaging uses phase change materials (PCM) to maintain a stable temperature between 2-8°C for 72 hours without external power supply, suitable for the transportation of temperature-sensitive drugs.
The packaging is lightweight and reusable, and can be customized according to different drug transportation distance and temperature requirements. It has passed the international cold chain transportation certification and will be widely used in the global pharmaceutical cold chain logistics market.
