Romania Updates Pharmaceutical Packaging Labeling Regulations
Bucharest, November 22, 2024 - The Romanian National Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices announced the update of pharmaceutical packaging labeling regulations, which will be implemented in January 2026. The new regulations require pharmaceutical packaging for export to be labeled with at least three languages: Romanian, English and the official language of the importing country.
The regulations also stipulate the font size, color and position of the labels to ensure that the information is clear and easy to read. Romanian pharmaceutical enterprises need to adjust their packaging production lines to meet the new requirements, and the government will provide relevant translation and technical support.
