San Marino, November 7, 2024 - San Marino aerospace technology company SpaceMed developed a new type of miniature pharmaceutical packaging specially designed for space medicine. The packaging is lightweight, shockproof and can adapt to the microgravity environment in space, ensuring the safety and efficacy of drugs used by astronauts.

The packaging can also record the usage of drugs by astronauts in real time and transmit data to the ground control center. It has been tested by the European Space Agency (ESA) and will be used in future manned space missions.
